Chuck Casto has more than 20 years of marketing and corporate communications experience with some of the world’s most dynamic consumer and business-to-business brands, both emerging and well-established. Chuck has expertise ranging from launching and propelling startups to reinforcing rebranding for century-old companies. He marries the worlds of traditional and online news with social media in a way that maximizes the influence of each medium, driving impressions, traffic, sales and sign-ups.

His work has touched on a variety of categories from e-commerce, retail, and consumer products to financial services, professional services, education, and healthcare.

Just last month, he landed and was quoted in an Associated Press story on the best ways to address the needs of college students during mid-term exams via care packages. That story appeared in hundreds of outlets throughout North America, including ABC News, NBC News, Huffington Post, BloombergBusinessweek, CNBC, The Washington Post and many more, driving a 129% jump in traffic at his client’s online company. Chuck also currently handles PR for leading management consultants who specialize in education, healthcare, and banking.

A leader at top agencies including Weber Shandwick and Ketchum, Chuck drove global campaigns including Harley-Davidson’s 100th Anniversary, as well as local, community relations efforts for Bank Of America. Other past clients include: Haagen-Dazs, Wendy’s, Miller, Burger King, McDonald’s, McIlhenny Company (Tabasco sauce), Life Savers, Bubble Yum, Novartis Animal Health, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, The Walter and Connie Liver Foundation, and many others. Among the many initiatives he led, Chuck spearheaded Wendy’s campaigns driving both sportsmanship and Spanish language education at high schools.

On the corporate side, Chuck started and grew the PR Department from the ground up, launching the home goods startup when it was 200 stores under the CSN Stores umbrella –,,,, and, to name just a few. For, Chuck and his team pitched everything from backpacks and school supplies to dorm room decor to education, home and features editors, producers, bloggers and webmasters.

Chuck also played a key role in the rebranding effort for CSN Stores, relaunching the company as the one-stop shop, the largest online-only home goods retailer. Chuck’s coverage for Wayfair included a six-page spread in Inc. Magazine that became a feature on Yahoo, driving 354,000 incremental visits to in one day, which yielded $1.2 million in sales. Other consumer, business and tech placements range from The New York Times, USA TODAY, TechCrunch, Mashable, and the Associated Press to Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and nearly every other national publication geared towards women and parents. Chuck also created and ran eight contests that launched the company’s social media platforms and also produced more than $2 million in direct sales.

Chuck graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and then received a Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University. He also interviews high schoolers in his area as part of Brown’s admission process.
