Peter Schelfhaudt oversees the overall development of Creative Partners’ capabilities, network affiliate integration, resource management, and expansion.

Prior to acquiring Creative Partners, Mr. Schelfhaudt was Head of Mergers and Acquisitions – Advertising and Communications for Monster Worldwide.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Schelfhaudt was a principal at Kerr Kelly Thompson which subsequently merged with Earle Palmer Brown. At EPB, he held the position of Managing Partner – Business Affairs and helped triple the company in size through a series of more than twenty acquisitions.

Prior to Kerr Kelly Thompson, Mr. Schelfhaudt held senior management positions at Cone Communications & Hill Holliday, both Boston-based firms, as well as Grey Advertising (Los Angeles) and Benton & Bowles (Los Angeles/New York).

Fred is the founder and principal of the Communications Collaborative LLC, and a subsidiary company, The Center for Non Profit Growth™. Both firms are focused on developing marketing/branding, social media and fundraising strategies for commercial and non-profit institutions in the health-medical, education, public policy, veterans’ affairs and conservation/endangered species sectors.

He also remains “of counsel” to Creative Partners LLC, an integrated marketing communications company he co-founded in 2001. Creative Partners represents a diverse range of major corporate, professional service and non-profit clients, including HealthNet, Citibank, Whirlpool Corporation, Sears, National Realty and Development Corp., Harvard University, Capital One, MBIA, Standard & Poors, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

After co-founding Creative Partners, Fred took a seven year sabbatical to head two major organizations in the public health and wildlife conservation areas. In March 2006, he joined The American Liver Foundation (ALF) as President/Chief Executive Officer. His responsibilities focused on re-branding the organization and strengthening its program outreach initiatives and advocacy and research capacity, while helping its twenty-five state and regional Chapters raise awareness of liver disease, liver wellness and new treatment therapies.

Prior to joining ALF, he was President/CEO of the Jane Goodall Institute in Washington, D.C., a leading international conservation organization. Under his leadership, the Institute grew five-fold and established collaborative partnerships with key governmental, policy and funding entities, including the United Nations, the World Bank, the U.S. Department of State, the European Union, and numerous private foundations throughout the U.S., Europe and Africa.

Previously, he held senior executive positions with a number of global marketing communications firms, including Burson-Marsteller, Manning Selvage & Lee, Earle Palmer Brown, and Kerr Kelly Thompson, where he represented such major Fortune 500 companies and corporations as IBM, Citibank, Procter & Gamble, Nikon, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon-Mobil, U.S. Trust, Four Seasons Hotels, McGraw-Hill, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Baxter-Immuno and Visa.

Additionally, he has held marketing and communications positions with Herman Miller, Inc., architects/engineers CRS-Serrine, and Armstrong World Industries.

Fred has also provided fundraising and related marketing consultation to numerous non-profit institutions, including the United States Olympic Committee, Special Olympics, the Olympic Organizing Committees of Seoul and Barcelona, the International Rescue Committee, Outward Bound USA, The National Holocaust Museum, Volunteers of America, The National Health Council and the George C. Marshall Foundation.

He is the recipient of five “Silver Anvil Awards” – the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) highest recognition of professional achievement – and numerous other national and regional awards for communications excellence from The International Association of Business Communicators and The Business Professional Advertising Association.

Fred received a B.A. Degree from Michigan State University and has pursued graduate studies at New York University where he has also served as an adjunct professor of communications strategy at that institution’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Real School Gardens, Chairman of the American Urology Association Foundation Development Council, a member of the Board of Advisors to American Women’s Veterans, a member of the Board of Directors of BizWorks — a Virginia business incubator, and a member of the Emeriti Boards of The Jane Goodall Institute USA, Tanzania, Kenya and Congo-Brazzaville.

Fred and his wife Donna reside in Richmond, VA and Washington, D.C.

Since joining Creative Partners in 2000, Laura Saggese has directed strategic marketing programs for many of the agency’s clients including several Fortune 100 corporations in the financial services, insurance and technology sectors.

With more than 15 years of consumer and business marketing communications experience, Ms. Saggese has expertise in building global brand recognition and has extensive knowledge in the areas of brand advertising, direct marketing and web-based marketing initiatives.

She holds her B.A. in Marketing from Pace University.

Ms. Saggese contributes her time to non-profit causes and has developed a number of successful fundraising efforts on behalf of the agency’s clients. Laura has a mean tennis serve and loves to spend time with her family.

John Meagle

John Meagle

John has more than 20 years of marketing and marketing communications experience in enterprise sectors that include higher education and consumer products. He heads up Creative Partners Educational Marketing Group.

His experience has included the development and management of the Higher Education Division of Monster Worldwide, where he created a national network of offices serving higher education.

Additionally, John successfully created and launched award-winning branding and integrated marketing strategies for dozens of institutions including Columbia University, Fordham University, Pace University and Nova Southeastern University. His consumer products background includes clients such as General Nutrition Centers (GNC), Beneficial Management Corp., and First National Brokerage Services.

John is experienced in campaign planning, creative development, Internet marketing, direct mail, print and broadcast media buying, and the design and production of video and print collateral materials aimed at the higher education and consumer markets.

He lives on top of a small mountain in the middle of the woods in Putnam Valley, N.Y., is married to Joan, an art teacher, and has two children — John Patrick and Colby — both of whom play on the local Little League team he coaches.

John graduated from Fordham University with a BA Degree in Journalism.

Josh Moritz

Josh has been developing branding and interactive campaigns for over 25 years, having started out at Kenyon and Eckhardt, Y&R and Wunderman, then moving onto Muldoon Direct as General Manager before starting two agencies: DMTG and Customer Growth. He has also been CMO for several start-up internet companies.

His product experience is wide ranging, including packaged goods, financial services, education, energy, industrial, government and non-profits. He has developed numerous campaigns using a myriad of media ranging from TV, radio and print to e-mail/direct mail, online and offline catalogs, websites and web advertising, social media, search, trade shows and events, investor and public relations.

As a database marketer, he has led the creation of programs that have generated in excess of $100 million in revenue, increased response rates by 500% and improved profitability by 1000%.

Josh is an adjunct professor at University of New Haven and Southern Connecticut State University teaching marketing, E-Marketing and social media.

Josh recently earned an MBA from Babson College, holds a diploma in direct and interactive marketing from New York University and a BA from Rutgers College. He also received a certificate in the study of Russian business practices from St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Chuck Casto has more than 20 years of marketing and corporate communications experience with some of the world’s most dynamic consumer and business-to-business brands, both emerging and well-established. Chuck has expertise ranging from launching and propelling startups to reinforcing rebranding for century-old companies. He marries the worlds of traditional and online news with social media in a way that maximizes the influence of each medium, driving impressions, traffic, sales and sign-ups.

His work has touched on a variety of categories from e-commerce, retail, and consumer products to financial services, professional services, education, and healthcare.

Just last month, he landed and was quoted in an Associated Press story on the best ways to address the needs of college students during mid-term exams via care packages. That story appeared in hundreds of outlets throughout North America, including ABC News, NBC News, Huffington Post, BloombergBusinessweek, CNBC, The Washington Post and many more, driving a 129% jump in traffic at his client’s online company. Chuck also currently handles PR for leading management consultants who specialize in education, healthcare, and banking.

A leader at top agencies including Weber Shandwick and Ketchum, Chuck drove global campaigns including Harley-Davidson’s 100th Anniversary, as well as local, community relations efforts for Bank Of America. Other past clients include: Haagen-Dazs, Wendy’s, Miller, Burger King, McDonald’s, McIlhenny Company (Tabasco sauce), Life Savers, Bubble Yum, Novartis Animal Health, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, The Walter and Connie Liver Foundation, and many others. Among the many initiatives he led, Chuck spearheaded Wendy’s campaigns driving both sportsmanship and Spanish language education at high schools.

On the corporate side, Chuck started and grew the Wayfair.com PR Department from the ground up, launching the home goods startup when it was 200 stores under the CSN Stores umbrella – CSNSchool.com, CSNOffice.com, Cookware.com, AllModern.com, and Strollers.com, to name just a few. For CSNSchool.com, Chuck and his team pitched everything from backpacks and school supplies to dorm room decor to education, home and features editors, producers, bloggers and webmasters.

Chuck also played a key role in the rebranding effort for CSN Stores, relaunching the company as the one-stop shop Wayfair.com, the largest online-only home goods retailer. Chuck’s coverage for Wayfair included a six-page spread in Inc. Magazine that became a feature on Yahoo, driving 354,000 incremental visits to Wayfair.com in one day, which yielded $1.2 million in sales. Other consumer, business and tech placements range from The New York Times, USA TODAY, TechCrunch, Mashable, and the Associated Press to Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and nearly every other national publication geared towards women and parents. Chuck also created and ran eight contests that launched the company’s social media platforms and also produced more than $2 million in direct sales.

Chuck graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and then received a Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University. He also interviews high schoolers in his area as part of Brown’s admission process.

As Vice President of CPW PR | Creative Partners/West, Melinda Peffer is responsible for the supervision and management of public relations and marketing communications initiatives, including media relations, community relations, special events, speaking opportunities and the development of strategic marketing and advertising programs.

With nearly 15 years of experience, Ms. Peffer has developed and implemented award-winning campaigns for a wide range of professional services companies throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Her diverse knowledge in marketing communications includes business-to-business and business-to-consumer media relations, public awareness campaigns, cooperative initiatives, sponsorship/speaking opportunities; copy development for television, radio and print advertisements; direct mail programs, as well as web site concept and copy development.

Ms. Peffer has received numerous awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and other professional organizations, including four PRism Awards the highest honor presented by PRSA for recognition of excellence in public/media relations. She has also been the recipient of several community outreach awards for her development of county and statewide public awareness campaigns. In fact, two of the three campaigns developed and executed in 2000 are still being implemented today.

She received a bachelor’s degree in communications specializing in public relations from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

Kim Huelsman is an award-winning Creative Director who turned her education at the Rhode Island School of Design and the School of Visual Arts into the art of powerful, thought provoking advertising. Kim was previously Creative Director at WKP-Spier for eight years, and her outstanding art and design roles at Citigate advertising, Wells Rich Greene Advertising and Random House publishing give her that unique perspective that only comes from working on both the agency as well as the client sides of the business.
Over the past 20 years, Kim has created advertising that builds brands and wins customers for Chase Manhattan Bank, Maine Office of Tourism, Oil of Olay, Sheraton Hotels, University of Bridgeport, and The New York Palace Hotel, to name a few. With her creative teams, she has developed print, broadcast, outdoor, collateral and on-line campaigns as well as 360º branding and website design.

Anahid is a versatile public relations executive with more than 15 years experience serving national and local clients in a variety of industries including arts and entertainment, hospitality, food and beverage, consumer products, lifestyle, financial institutions, and publishing.

She is a seasoned producer creating corporate videos, infomercials and public service campaigns. Anahid is also a journalist for Splash Magazine Worldwide, an online magazine with 1 million visitors per month, covering arts and entertainment, travel and tourism and luxury lifestyles.

Anahid is a detailed and dynamic communicator and storyteller. She is a media relations expert, integrating traditional and social media strategies to secure placements creating maximum presence for clients. She is skilled in identifying targets, establishing relationships and converting them into meaningful coverage for brands, specifically within the social media landscape, user-generated content sites and other related web-based environments. Her social media expertise also includes creating and publishing shareable digital content for user-generated media services such as blogs, video, audio podcasts, photos and online press rooms. She has created and managed social media programs for a number of clients including national non-profits, technology and web-based start-ups.

Anahid began her career in radio at WBZ Radio in Boston as producer for talk show staples Dave Maynard and Larry Glick and award-winning issues oriented hosts Peter Meade and David Brudnoy securing interviews with former presidents, heads of state, renowned authors, politicians and entertainers. Among them President Jimmy Carter and White House Chief of Staff Donald Regan.

Broadcast led to a career in PR managing government accounts and producing national public service TV, radio and print campaigns for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Institute of Mental Health, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports where she produced a series of national TV and radio spots with then council president Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Anahid continued her work in PR supervising accounts including Citibank, Old Navy and Tumi Luggage and as senior publicist producing satellite media tours for renowned authors including Arthur Agatston of The South Beach Diet fame and Mireille Guiliano who penned French Women Don’t Get Fat.

Anahid received her BA in Communications with a minor in English and Economics at Simmons College in Boston.
