Jason Kannon

Jason Kannon is a marketing communications executive with more than 20 years experience in general management, strategic planning, media relations and new business development for industries including, financial services, high technology, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing and consumer products. He has a proven ability to build market share and value for companies using marketing communications strategies and tactics.
Kannon currently manages the public relations and business development teams at Creative Partners, a full-service brand marketing agency that specializes in B2B and B2C for financial services, higher education, healthcare and technology.
Before joining CP, Kannon managed a team of professionals at Keiler & Company to create and implement strategic communications programs that reflect client business objectives, with particular emphasis on executive positioning and corporate branding initiatives. His clients included economic development agencies, architects and marketing research firms.
Prior to joining Keiler in 2005, Kannon was a managing director, corporate financial group, at Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek Communications. He led a group of public relations practitioners focused on financial services firms such as RBS Greenwich Capital, LaSalle Broker Dealer Services, Hartford Steam Boiler (unit of AIG) and Rocaton Investment Advisors.
At Austin Lawrence Group Inc., a full-service marketing communications agency based in Stamford, Conn., he built the public relations department of this mid-sized ad agency from the ground up: generating more than $2 million a year in public relations fees. Responsible for public relations, investor relations and special event programming for all clients including AT&T, Advent Software, Andrew Corp., British Telecommunications, Cervalis, Cognizant Technology, DFA Capital Management, FMAC (Bay View Capital Corp.), Infosys Technologies, KeySpan Energy, SunGard and Tandberg.
Other work experience includes the number two position at Kahn Communications Group (which was bought by Ruder Finn in 1993), corporate communications director at Orange & Rockland Utilities, and account executive at Edelman Public Relations.
Kannon earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in computer science from New York University and lives in Weston, Conn.
