Frederick G. Thompson
President, Public Relations Division


Fred has over thirty years experience meeting the strategic marketing communications needs of many of the nation’s leading corporations and non-profit organizations.

Prior to joining Creative Partners, he held senior executive positions with a number of global public relations firms, including Burson-Marsteller, Manning Selvage & Lee, Earle Palmer Brown and Kerr Kelly Thompson where he represented such major Fortune 500 companies as IBM, Procter & Gamble, M&M Mars, Merrill-Lynch, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Citibank, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Chrysler, Nikon and Visa.

He has also served the non-profit sector in both staff and volunteer Board leadership capacities.  As President/CEO of the American Liver Foundation (ALF), he focused on strengthening that organization’s program outreach capacity and broadening fundraising support for advocacy and research initiatives. 

As President/CEO of the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), he worked closely with Dr. Goodall and a Board of directors and advisors consisting of prominent academics, heads of state and celebrities to establish program direction and global fundraising and marketing strategies.  He was also responsible for maintaining collaborative partnerships with major program and donor organizations, including The United Nations, The European Union, The World Bank and USAID.  While affiliated with JGI, he traveled extensively throughout the Congo Basin and East Africa to oversee program implementation and evaluation functions.

Additionally, Fred has also provided consultation to numerous other non-profit institutions, including the Olympic Organizing Committees of South Korea, Barcelona and Los Angeles, Special Olympics, The Holocaust Museum, Volunteers of America, Outward Bound USA, The Episcopal High School of Houston and The John Jay Heritage Society.

Weekends, Fred can be found hanging out with his twin grandsons, Phillip and George (age 4), and losing money on the golf or sporting clays course to any number of appreciative friends and relatives.
